The Ahwatukee Republican Women's Club awarded the Marjorie Minor Scholarship in the amount of $500 to Desert Vista High School graduating senior Lacey Jean Morris at its general meeting at the Grace Inn in April.
Marjorie Miner presented the scholarship award with approximately 100 in attendance, including U.S. Congressman David Schweiket. Applicants submitted an essay incorporating their personal involvement in the areas of volunteer service, extra curricular activities, hobbies and interests, employment history and educational goals.
