As the cost of a simple oil change rises, more automobile owners are rolling up their sleeves to perform routine maintenance on their own vehicles. Are you one of them?

If you want to learn how to change your car’s oil or how to handle other preventative maintenance, a class through the Central Arizona College community education program can teach you at the Superstition Mountain Campus Nov. 19 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The class costs $49 to attend. In an open forum, students will receive answers to questions about car ownership. It is designed to help students gain confidence and peace of mind.

The class will be taught by Alan Roby, who worked at General Motors, Ford and Chrysler.  To register, or for more information about the community education program, contact Joel Beck at (480) 677-7721 or joel.beck@centralaz.edu
