Give us a day of classic cars, family fun and hand-tossed New York style pizza, and we’re sold.
Local restaurant Nicantoni’s is hosting a car show featuring Cutthroat Customs, Classic Car Club and Game Truck.
The pizza and pasta hub will be displaying a “mish-mash of cars from the ’40s to the present,” owner Victor Buono wrote in an email to the Tribune. He's expecting to add street rods, muscle cars, jet-racing cars and a ’57 T-bird to the auto show menu. Restored, un-restored and in-the-process-of-being-restored cars will be there to check out.
Not only will the classics be rolling in, so will the Game Truck, giving kids two hours of free play. This mobile gaming theater has more than three dozen of the latest video games, three gaming consoles and four to five giant, flat-screen HDTVs.
Nicantoni’s will also be extending its Happy Hour on the day of the event.
“It’s just a gathering of cool cars and people getting together for a good time and good pizza,” Buono writes.
