The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series will return to Speedworld Sept. 23-25, and track owner Dan Matthews' staff has already started preparations.

"Each of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series events at Speedworld have gone extremely well, and we're looking forward to another capacity crowd," Matthews said. "We host nearly 8,000 spectators each day at these events and our goal (from the beginning) has been to develop this facility into the premiere off road track in the Southwest. Based on the feedback we've received from all five of our previous LOORRS events, I believe we're achieving that goal."

Major improvements include the recent construction of an additional 1,000-seat grandstand, an expanded VIP hospitality area (which now includes the "Sky Deck"), and improvements to the RV overnight camping area. A limited number of larger VIP RV spaces (with prime viewing of the entire race course) are also available.

Known as "short course" racing, the entire race course is visible from the grandstands and provides non-stop excitement for spectators.

Rounds 11 & 12 of this nationally televised series take place at Speedworld Off Road Park, 19421 W. Jomax Road in Surprise. With the series points battle heating up and driver rivalries reaching the boiling point, this event promises on-track retaliation. On average, Speedworld events attract more fans and more race entries than any other on the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series schedule.

"These events are great for fans of all ages", said Speedworld Public Relations Manager Roland McNew. "Spectators have access to roam through the pit area between races and actually meet the drivers. Unlike many NASCAR drivers, these racers are all very approachable. They participate in the pre-event festivities and enjoy meeting and taking pictures with the fans, signing autographs or just hanging out".

Tickets are available at the gate for $30 per day or $50 for a weekend pass. Gates open at 8 a.m. each day.

V.I.P. Paddock Club Hospitality tickets upgrades are available on site.

Speedworld Raceway Park is the Northwest valley's premiere multi-use motorsports facility. Encompassing nearly 400 acres, the facility hosts numerous racing venues, including; motocross, a 1/8 mile dirt track oval, R/C airplanes, drag racing, BMX, R/C cars, sand drags and a mud bog area.
