With more households with dogs than children, according to the 2010 U.S. Census, Shea Homes Arizona is launching pet options for home buyers.
New Shea Homes can now be built with a finished cut-out opening for a future doggie door, fully installed doggie doors, dog runs and a custom cabinet cut-out for cat litter boxes.
“Many of our homeowners and potential buyers have pets and it makes sense to offer pet options to make all members of the family comfortable in their new home,” said Ken Peterson, vice president of sales and marketing for Shea Homes Arizona.
Prices for dog and cat finished cut-outs start from $75, installed doggie doors from $450, and the cost for dog runs is determined through the landscaping company.
