PHOENIX - Police say a man was taken to the hospital Monday night after his wife ran over him in a Phoenix parking lot.
Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos said the incident happened around 9:50 p.m. near 34th Street and McDowell Road.
Martos said the woman was dropping off her kids to be with their father when the man began arguing with her.
Authorities said the man jumped on the hood of her car and the woman accelerated causing him to fall off the car and get run over.
Police said the man was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Martos said police believe this incident was a result of a domestic violence situation and that alcohol may be involved.
The couple's names are not being released at this time.
On Tuesday, police said charges had been filed, but neither the man nor woman had been arrested.
