Dave Trout Charities has committed $100,000 toward the construction of a new facility for ICAN, an after-school program located in the East Valley.

The money is to be raised through the annual Dave Trout Golf Tournament, hosted in memory of one of the co-founders of Coffin & Trout Fine Jewellers, Dave Trout.

ICAN has been named the beneficiary of the Dave Trout Golf Tournament for the last two years, with the money provided being used to support programming for youth and families.

The need for a new facility for ICAN has emerged out of significant growth for the 20-year-old nonprofit.

The new 20,000-square-foot facility will include six classrooms, a technology and learning center, dedicated teen center, half gym, administrative offices and community conference rooms.
