Oct. 14 is World Sight Day and Eye Priority is encouraging community members to help underserved areas improve their access to long-term eye care. Dr. Kelly de Simone will set aside five percent of all fees collected on Oct. 14 from the purchase of glasses, and that amount will be donated to Optometry Giving Sight. Eye Priority will also gladly accept cash donations to the organization through the month of October.

Optometry Giving Sight directly funds programs that give sight to those most in need. It currently funds projects in more than 18 countries in Latin America, Africa and Asia.

To make a donation, stop by Eye Priority at 15725 S. 46th St., Suite 112, or go to www.givingsight.org.
