Q: Where are you from and what did you do before opening your business?

A: We moved from Bethesda, Md., to Phoenix in August of 2001. Rosanne Youngblood was an interior designer for a large home decor store in Bethesda, Md.

Q: Why did you open your business in Ahwatukee Foothills?

A: We opened the Prickly Pair Home Store in Ahwatukee because we live in Ahwatukee, where we felt a sense of community and wanted to provide a service for the community.

Q: How did you get the idea to open your business?

A: We opened a home decor retail store in 2004 called the Prickly Pair and expanded to an interior painting business in 2007. The latest venture for Youngblood Designs was to expand into a total home improvement operation called Youngblood Home Remodeling in late 2009. We expanded Youngblood Designs to a full service home remodeling operation so clients have a one stop location to complete their home improvement project.

Q: What type of merchandise/services do you sell?

A: In addition to the home decor items offered for sale in the Prickly Pair and the painting services offered by Youngblood Painting, the complete package of services offered by Youngblood Remodel are: exterior home painting, kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, granite/Formica countertops, tile/carpet/vinyl flooring, kitchen counter back splashes, shutters, cabinet painting and drapery.

Q: What does your business have in store for the future?

A: To keep providing quality customer service and to work to ensure each and every customer is satisfied with their shopping experience at the Prickly Pair, their paint job with Youngblood Painting or their home remodeling project with Youngblood Home Remodeling. To basically keep improving the customer satisfaction experience.

Q: Anything else you want the community to know about you or your business?

A: We are a family owned and operated business and employ associates from the Ahwatukee community. We strive for 100 percent customer satisfaction and treat each consumer encounter on an individual basis. All of our vendors are licensed and vetted with a proven history of quality service and satisfaction.

Prickly Pear does a good job painting but thats about it. They damage things and never mention it or repair it. Their ability to clean your home is very poor. - i voiced how i didnt like the cleaning job and they made no offer ro remedy it, LOL.
