Phoenix residents celebrating Labor Day this year have a responsible, hassle-free way to have fun, stay safe and avoid a DUI with Discount Cab's "Free Ride Back" program. The program offers inebriated patrons of any restaurant or bar in Phoenix who call a cab a free ride back to their cars the next day, no questions asked.

Labor Day weekend is known for parties, so much so that 5,000 additional police officers worked last year to try to curb problems. Last year, over a 20-day period from Aug. 20 through Labor Day, officers in Arizona arrested 1,554 people for drunk driving.

Residents wishing to take advantage of the program can call (602) 200-2000.
