Eye Priority is seeking donations for the Kyrene School District Prevention Team's Summer Activity Pack project. The project's goal is to create 700 "Summer Activity Packs" to keep homeless and needy students active and engaged in learning while schools are closed. The packs will specifically target students in grades K-3 who are homeless or academically at risk.

Donations needed should be new and include crayons, markers, decks of cards, card games, board games, spiral bound notebooks, glue sticks and jump ropes. District officials will supplement these items by buying grade-level books, activity kits, and backpacks. Donations can be dropped off at the office, 15725 S. 46th St., Suite 112.

Dr. de Simone will set aside 10 percent of all April revenues from Optomap digital retinal eye exam screenings as a cash contribution to the Kyrene Foundation for this project. The business hopes to raise $400.

Deadline for donations is May 4. For more information, call Eye Priority at (480) 893-2300.
