‘Journalism Jumpstart' workshops offered

Members of the Society of Professional Journalists and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences have joined with Mark Scarp, immediate past president of the Valley of the Sun chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, to offer career-enhancing workshops called "Journalism Jumpstart" for fellow journalists. Workshops will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at convenient Valley locations on Sept. 22, Oct. 7, Oct. 20, Nov. 3 and Nov. 16.

Each workshop is free to SPJ and NATAS members, $10 to people who RSVP in advance and $15 at the door (cash only). Light desserts and beverages will be provided courtesy of Media Watch AZ and Fairytale Brownies.
