Pamela Coste understands how relaxing and revitalizing a good foot rub can be when the stresses of life take their toll.

The Ahwatukee Foothills resident has been massaging the feet of friends and family for years, and is now making her craft available to residents city-wide.

"I've done a lot of foot rubs for people over the years, and I have seen so much need for stress relief," Coste said. "When I sit down to massage someone's feet, what I want for them is to feel relaxed and cared for."

Coste offers two different options for foot rubs, a 20-minute session for $20 or 50-minute session for $40. She will travel up to seven miles from the boundaries of the 85044 ZIP code for free. She sees opportunities at local businesses and also offers a discount for multiple clients as well as customers who sign up for monthly visits.

"As far as I know, no one else is providing a mobile foot rub service," she said. "I see a lot of other people who have a real need for caring in their lives, and I want to be an instrument of that."

Although she is not certified as a massage therapist, a person does not have to be in Arizona, Coste said her service will speak for itself and is hoping that her business, called FootrubX, spreads by word-of-mouth.

"I want this to grow organically because that is where the trust is going to come from," she said. "I love giving foot rubs, I always have."
