Q: Where are you from and what did you do before opening your business?
A: I’m from Los Angeles.
Q: Why did you open your business near Ahwatukee Foothills?
A: We have a lot of customers from Phoenix who would fly to our L.A. store. We provide something very unique and exclusive.
Q: How did you get the idea to open your business?
A: We have been studying this market for a few years now.
Q: What type of merchandise/services do you sell?
A: All bridal, formal and casual ladies and men’s outfits made in India. Besides the beauty divisions, we offer tailoring and alterations, jewelry and henna tattoos.
Q: What does your business offer that no one else does?
A: Everything in Sona Chaandi is designed and manufactured by us, for us, exclusively.
Q: How have residents of the community responded to your business?
A: Extremely well. They are very happy we have opened right across from IKEA.
Q: What does your business have in store for the future?
A: We will be adding more and more inventory, depending on the local requirements.
Q: Anything else you want the community to know about you or your business?
A: We are a full-service boutique where we can do custom orders for any outfit required. We have locations in L.A., Long Beach and New York.
