Yoasis Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt in Ahwatukee Foothills has donated more than $13,000 to local groups. One recent contribution was to the American Cancer Society in the amount of $1,510.10, which was raised at the local Relay for Life event at Desert Vista High School on April 16.

The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At the Ahwatukee Relay, teams of people camped out at DVHS and took turns walking or running around the track. Because cancer never sleeps, the relay was overnight. Yoasis served frozen yogurt with several toppings during the 21-hour event. Because of generous donations from vendors Southwest Traders and Scott Brothers Dairy, Yoasis was able to honor survivors, chaperones and event volunteers with free yogurt. Additionally, Yoasis was able to donate 70 cents from every $1 in frozen yogurt sales made at the event.
