Owners: Rod and Kim Lampert
Information: (480) 279-4155
Q: Where are you from and what did you do before opening your business?
A: My wife and I both grew up in Arizona. Prior to opening Harvest Plumbing, I worked in our family's plumbing company, Lampert Plumbing, which we opened in 1982. I also worked several years as a purchasing/bidding manager in a large construction company here in the Valley and held an IAPMO Plumbing Inspector Certification.
Q: Why did you open your business in Ahwatukee?
A: Kim and I moved to Ahwatukee in the late 1980s and absolutely fell in love with the community. It was a lot smaller back then, but it's still held that small-town feel with all the benefits of living in a city. In a word: It's home.
Q: How did you get the idea to open your business?
A: Knowing that my parents would one day retire Lampert Plumbing, I obtained my Contractor's License and opened Harvest Plumbing. It was the most natural thing for me to do. At the time, I held an office job, but I really missed that personal contact with the customer, visiting them in their homes. I've always enjoyed service work and the people of our community, so Harvest Plumbing was a perfect fit.
Q: What type of merchandise/services do you sell?
A: We offer residential plumbing service here in Ahwatukee. We offer the service, repair and replacement of faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, water heaters, pressure regulators, etc., in a clean, orderly way. I always strive to find the highest quality materials to use.
Q: What does your business offer that no one else does?
A: We offer the personal service that our customers have come to expect from a close-knit family business. From the answering of the telephone to the completion of the job, our customers know that they will be dealing with me personally from start to finish. I understand that my customers have been entrusted to me; therefore, I desire to serve them as best as I can.
Q: How have residents of the community responded to your business?
A: Always with open arms. I am convinced that our customers are the best. I always feel as though I am dealing with friends rather than "customers." The community also voted us "Best Plumber" in the Ahwatukee Foothills News Best Of 2009.
Q: Anything else you want the community to know about you or your business?
A: We are licensed, bonded and insured. I take great pride in being at the customer's home on time, understanding what the customer's specific need is and performing the work with efficiency and cleanliness. I stand behind my work and the materials that I use. My greatest desire is that I will have been a blessing to the customer - treating them and their home with respect and care.
