Due to support from the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust, Neighborhood Housing Services of Phoenix (NHS Phoenix) will offer free financial recovery workshops to empower current homeowners, as well as victims of foreclosure, to take control of their finances and their lives.

Taught by author and credit expert, Patrick Ritchie, and assisted by certified post-purchase counselor Beatriz Gallegos, these workshops are intended for people who are tired of feeling victimized by money worries.

For those homeowners who wonder what is next after foreclosure; for those anxiously waiting to hear whether their mortgages will be modified; and for those who are struggling to make their monthly mortgage payments, these workshops will provide valuable information on budgeting for survival, credit ramifications in a mortgage crisis, surviving debt and rebuilding credit.

Classes are offered all day on Saturday, Aug. 6 and Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and feature a light breakfast and lunch, take-home materials and prizes. Based on interest, these will continue into the new year.
