City services affected by Cesar Chavez holiday

City of Phoenix offices will be closed on Monday, April 1 in observance of the Cesar Chavez holiday.

Light rail, buses and Dial-a-Ride will operate on regular weekday schedules. Parking in metered spots will be free.

There will be no change in collection schedules for trash. Trash and recycling will be collected as usual for those with Monday collection. The 27th Avenue and North Gateway Garbage/Recycle Transfer Stations will be closed on Monday.

Ahwatukee’s Ironwood Library and all branch libraries usually open on Monday will be closed.

The offices of the Ahwatukee Foothills News will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
