Tom Morrissey, who is running for the state Senate in Legislative District 18, will be providing the community with free child ID cards during the Red, White and Boom festival on Thursday, July 3. Retired and volunteer police officers will take fingerprints of each child onto a card that will be given to their parents. The cards can help police identify a child in an emergency situation. Morrissey’s team provided the same service to guests at the Spring Fling Carnival and fingerprinted about 70 children at that time.
