LongHorn Steakhouse entered the Arizona market in December of 2012 and is expanding quickly throughout the next two years, including opening one location just outside of Ahwatukee Foothills.
The LongHorn currently being constructed at the corner of 54th Street and Ray Road is expected to open in February. It will be the third location in Arizona. The first opened in Mesa in December and the second is in Phoenix on Cactus Road near Tatum Boulevard.
LongHorn plans to open four to six new locations in the next 18 to 24 months, said Erica Jaeger, spokesperson for steakhouse chain.
The Ahwatukee Foothills location will be 6,270 square feet and seat 240 guests. The company plans to hire 80 to 100 employees for the restaurant.
