Tempe police said they arrested three suspects last week they believe are responsible for a series of fast-food robberies in Tempe and Ahwatukee Foothills from September through October of 2011.

Tony Tucker, aka Prince Edward Tony Tucker, 40, of Phoenix; Christopher Kimball, 20, of Phoenix; and Vincent Nitura, 20, of Phoenix, were arrested at locations in Phoenix and booked into the Tempe City Jail.

Tucker is being charged with six counts of armed robbery, 11 counts of kidnapping, 12 counts of aggravated assault, one count of attempted sexual assault, three counts of disorderly conduct, and one count of attempted armed robbery, in addition to arrest for a felony warrant out of California.

Kimball and Nitura are both being charged with multiple counts of armed robbery, kidnapping and aggravated assault.

There were seven reported incidents (five in Tempe, two in Ahwatukee) where the suspects would arrive at a business around opening or closing and use threats and force to get victims to the back of the store. They demanded cash while pointing a firearm at victims, and then they would leave.
