Local Home Depot to host customer appreciation event

Home Depot is hosting a customer appreciation event on March 2, March into Spring, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Home Depot on Interstate 10 and Ray Road. There will be free food and drink, games and a do-it-yourself workshop. They will also be handing out prizes for the coloring contest they have been conducting for the past month.

“A lot of local businesses are coming to together to support the community,” said Matt Collins, a spokesmen for the event.

Chick-fil-a, Tuff Shed, the fire and police departments, the Red Cross and the Humane Society are just some of the different businesses and organizations that will be at the event.

There will also be a blood drive and people can sign up for it at the serve desk in the store.

“Just come ready to have a good time,” said Collins, “We are trying to reach out the community and pull the community together.
