ICAN welcomes new chief executive officer

Becky Jackson has become new chief executive officer of Improving Chandler Area Neighborhoods (ICAN): Positive Programs for Chandler's Youth (ICAN). She brings 20 years of leadership experience to the post. The former president of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce and, most recently, the executive director for the Desert Southwest Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Jackson replaces Christy McClendon, who leaves to pursue other opportunities in nonprofit outside of the Chandler community.

Jackson was chosen from more than 20 other candidates, primarily due to her measurable efforts leading the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Chandler Chamber of Commerce.

Jackson is no stranger to ICAN, as she has been volunteering with the ICAN capital campaign to build a new facility.
