A 23-year-old man was sent to the hospital in critical condition after losing control of his car on Pecos Road late Friday night.

The man, who has not been identified, was headed eastbound on Pecos Road near Interstate 10 when his 1995 Volvo station wagon went off the south side of the road and rolled several times, said Sgt. Joel Tranter of the Phoenix Police Department.

The man was ejected from the car. When crews arrived he was unresponsive. He was taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition.

No one else was injured in the accident. The cause of the accident was unknown.
