City to suspend some services Monday

City of Phoenix offices will be closed on Monday, July 5 in observance of the Independence Day holiday, which falls on a Sunday this year.

Light rail, buses and Dial-a-Ride will operate Monday on a Sunday schedule. The DASH in downtown Phoenix will not operate. Parking in metered spots will be free on Monday.

There will be no garbage collection on Monday. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday trash collection routes will each be pushed back a day. The 27th Avenue and North Gateway Garbage/Recycle Transfer Stations will be closed on Sunday and Monday and will reopen on Tuesday.

Burton Barr Central Library and all branch libraries will be closed on Sunday.

The offices of the Ahwatukee Foothills News will also be closed on Monday.
