The Parish of St. Benedict is inviting the Ahwatukee community to its third annual rummage sale.
Funds accumulated during the sale will go toward off setting St. Benedict’s mortgage, said Suzanne Percy, development director.
“There’s definitely something for everybody. The committee starts a few months ahead of time, and the entire community brings in items that can be sold at the rummage sale,” she said. “We have everything from household items including TVs, DVDs, computers, all the way down to baby clothes, kitchen items, furniture and toys for kids. We really got just about everything for everybody.”
Members at the parish also attributed to the rummage sale by donating items to be sold.
“It’s just a lot of fun and a place to come and get some great deals. For the past two years it has been well received and well attended. It benefits the community here because it helps us pay off our mortgage, so we can look to spending more money to ministry,” Percy said. “This is for the entire Ahwatukee community to get some good buys… we have lots of treasures.”
The sale will take place Saturday, March 15 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. John Bosco Catholic School, 16035 S. 48th St.
Those interested in donating items can bring them to St. John Bosco beginning Friday, March 14 at noon.
