Shopping at a boutique could help your community this weekend when French Connection Boutique dresses and jackets go up for sale to benefit Connecting to Serve.

The event will be from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5 at the Foothills Golf Club, 2201 Clubhouse Drive.

All donated clothes are brand new and more than 500 pieces will be up for sale at discounted rates. Jackets worth $200 to $598 will be sold for $100 to $150. Dresses originally priced at $138 will go for $60. Tops, tees, shorts and skirts will all be available for less than $35.

The Foothills Golf Club will also be offering a wine tasting from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday for $25, and 12 new wines will be tested. A fashion show will take place during the wine tasting to showcase clothes from the boutique and items will be available for immediate purchase.

Connecting to Serve is a local non-profit connecting people in need with the right resources. They focus on the unmet needs of the community related to housing, education, health and finances. All proceeds will go directly to helping Connecting to Serve continue to function.

The non-profit will also host another fashion show and luncheon charity event on March 24 with the Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Committee at Va Bene, 4647 E. Chandler Blvd. Tickets for this event are $25 and must be purchased in advance by calling the chamber at (480) 753-7676 or contacting Christine at Christine@ahwatukeechamber.com.

Ticket proceeds will benefit Women in Business Scholarship funds while fashion show proceeds will benefit Connecting to Serve.
