City services affected by Thanksgiving holiday

City of Phoenix offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Phoenix buses and Dial-a-Ride will operate on Sunday schedules on Thursday and Friday. Express and RAPID will not operate. Light Rail will operate on a Sunday schedule on Thursday and return to a regular schedule on Friday, Nov. 29.

Parking in metered spots will be free on Thursday.

Thursday’s trash collection will be moved to Friday, Nov. 29. Friday’s collection will be moved to Saturday, Nov. 30. The 27th Avenue and North Gateway Garbage/Recycle Transfer Stations will be closed on Thursday and Friday.

Burton Barr Central Library and all branch libraries will be closed Thursday and Friday. Normal hours will resume on Saturday, Nov. 30.

The offices of the Ahwatukee Foothills News will also be closed on Thursday.
