Police searching for bank robbery suspect

Police are still searching for a suspect who robbed a Chase Bank in Ahwatukee at Elliot Road and 48th Street on Oct. 16.

The suspect walked into the bank around 11 a.m. on Wednesday and handed the teller a note demanding money, said Sgt. Joel Tranter of the Phoenix Police Department. The woman was given an undisclosed amount of cash and left on foot. The woman never displayed any weapon.

The woman is described as an African-American woman, 20 to 30 years old, wearing large silver hoop earrings. She was last seen wearing a baggy gray hooded sweatshirt with an Old Navy logo on the front and black leggings. She was not seen in any vehicle.
