A display at the Ahwatukee Recreation Center shows off items from veterans across Ahwatukee Foothills as a way to educate people about the Blue Star Memorial. The memorial marker placed near ABM will honor those who have served or are serving in the armed forces.
Crews work to level the ground and prepare for a memorial garden to be built just outside of the little league ball park on 48th Street and Warner Road. The garden will include a patio, paved with memorial pavers, dedicated benches and a raised flowerbed with a Blue Star Memorial Marker.
