It's extremely commendable that the Phoenix Area fire Depts are sending firefighters up there to assist. I've read several articles about this in the last week or so but I have a problem with one thing.... After watching our troops deploy for at least 15 months at a clip do we really need to hear how hard it is for them to go up there for 14 to 21 days? Another article I read a Dept was sending up guys for a week. Whaah! The overtime these guys are going to be making to get out of the heat and into the cool pines will more then make up for their sacrifice. I work in an industry where we assist hard hit areas during disasters and their is always a long line of volunteers to get out of the heat... Thank you guys for all your hard work- truly! But the guys speaking for you should tone down the "sacrifice" rhetoric.
