Phoenix firefighters were called to a mountain rescue on South Mountain Friday morning after a woman apparently crashed her bike on the trail.
The woman, 53, parked her car on Warpaint Drive in Ahwatukee and headed onto a trail from there, said Scott Walker, a spokesman for the Phoenix Fire Department.
The woman called 911 after she apparently crashed her bike and injured herself. Though she was awake and talking, she was unable to get down, Walker said.
Crews were able to find the woman and walk her down the trail with some assistance. Her injuries were minimal and she decided not to go to the hospital. The rescue took just over one hour.
