With a primary election looming on Aug. 24, the four Republican candidates hoping to unseat U.S. Rep. Harry Mitchell (D-Ariz.) are slated to debate each other Tuesday in Ahwatukee Foothills.

The participating candidates will include Jim Ward, Chris Salvino, Susan Bitter-Smith and David Schweikert. Each is hoping to secure the Republican nomination to face Mitchell in the November general election in a bid to represent Arizona's fifth Congressional district, which includes Ahwatukee Foothills.

The forum is slated for 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel Tech Center, 5121 E. La Puente Ave. Seating is limited and organizers suggest arriving early.
