An adult woman was found face down in her pool in Ahwatukee Foothills early this morning, according to Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Trent Crump.
The woman, 42, was found this morning by her husband, Crump said.
Police are still investigating the home on 35th Street, near Rockledge Road, but were not treating the case as a homicide, Crump said. They believe the drowning was caused by something medical, possibly some combination of medication and alcohol. Police believe she was in the pool overnight.
No further details were immediately available.
