Early Head Start program now enrolling

The city of Phoenix Human Services Department is seeking parents with children from birth to 3 years old and pregnant women to participate in its Early Head Start Home-based program, which offers comprehensive parenting and education services for low-income families who meet federal guidelines for family size.

Staff visits each home weekly to improve child development, and parents participate in bi-monthly play groups to allow children and parents to socialize with other families. Parents of children with special needs are encouraged to apply. The program also directs families to community resources that offer health and nutrition services.
