Ahwatukee Foothills Police Blotter: July 15-21

1. On July 15 at 12:10 p.m. police took a theft report in the 10600 block of South 48th Street. An armoire, valued at $3,000, was taken by a known suspect.

2. On July 15 at 8:15 p.m. police took a theft report in the 15800 block of South 29th Street. The victim had recently moved and planned to rent the house. When the victim returned to check on the empty home they discovered a stainless steel stove and pool vacuum had been taken.

3. On July 15 at 8:30 p.m. police took a missing juvenile report in the 2100 block of East Liberty Lane. A 16-year-old male had left his father’s apartment without permission and had not returned.

4. On July 15 at 11:15 p.m. police took a report of a 15-year-old runaway in the 2900 block of East Glenhaven.

5. On July 16 at 10:20 a.m. police took a report of a commercial burglary in the 5000 block of East Warner Road. Coin-operated machines had been broken into and cash stolen.

6. On July 16 at 9:50 p.m. in the 1600 block of East Nighthawk Way police took a report of a stolen diamond tennis bracelet. Police have a suspect in the case.

7. On July 17 at 3 p.m. police took a report of a burglary from a vehicle in the 4500 block of East Desert View Drive. Several guns were allegedly taken from the back of a van.

8. On July 17 at 8:40 p.m. police took a report of harassing phone calls in the 3600 block of East Ray Road. At various times the unknown suspect had been calling victim’s cell phones and trying to obtain money and harassing in other means.

9. On July 18 at 3:15 a.m. police arrested an adult female in the 4000 block of East Jacarilla. The woman was suspected of being alcohol impaired and was also found to be in possession of marijuana.

10. On July 18 at 5:12 p.m. police took a fraud report in the 4700 block of East Ray Road. The victim bought a surround sound system from someone selling it out of their vehicle in the parking lot. When they got home and opened the box the system was of poor quality.

11. On July 18 at 9:50 p.m. police arrested an adult male in the 4800 block of East Elliott Road. The man was parked in a parking lot and was in possession of various drug paraphernalia and several forms of drugs.

12. On July 20 at 9:55 a.m. police a took report of a burglary from a vehicle in the 4800 block of East Chandler Blvd. The rear window had been broken out and a wallet taken.

13. On July 20 at 9:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of East Ray Road police took a shoplifting report. An adult male and adult female removed several pieces of sterling jewelry from a display and exited the store.

14. On July 21 at 11 a.m. in the 4600 block of East Chandler Boulevard police took a fraud report. A suspect tried to return items to the store for refund. Police said items had been obtained on stolen credit card.
