There still is plenty of time to register for the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department’s full schedule of winter/spring 2012-13 classes and sports programs. In addition to its popular general interest classes, the department also is offering an expanded selection of youth sports programs and leagues. The department’s sports leagues and clinics are designed as a low-cost way to introduce kids to organized sports in a fun environment in which everyone plays. Sports leagues and clinics are available throughout the city. Registration is available online from the Classes and Programs link at phoenix.gov/parks.

In addition to sports, parents also can register their kids for community center-based classes in everything from fine and performing arts to dance to music lessons. Adults can choose from an equally wide range of classes whether they’re looking to get active and fit or just learn a new skill or polish up an existing one.

In addition to online registration, participants can register at any department community or recreation center during normal operating hours. General information is available, including center locations, at phoenix.gov/parks or at (602) 262-6862.
