Hospice of the Valley wants to enhance its grief support services to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning community and is seeking input through an online survey. Feedback is accepted through Sept. 30 at hov.org/survey.

Responses, which are anonymous. The grief support assessment is being supported by a $5,000 grant from the Phoenix Pride Community Foundation.

The nonprofit agency offers an ongoing grief support group from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of every month at the East Clinical Office, 777 W. Southern Ave. in Mesa. There is no charge or need to register.

Another support group, limited to six weeks, begins July 5 in Phoenix. It will address topics such as self-care; handling anniversaries, holidays, rituals and “remembrances of the heart;’’ and redefining oneself by creating new meaning.

The group meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. each Thursday through Aug. 9 at Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St. in Phoenix. Registration is required by June 29 by calling (602) 636-5390.
