City services affected by Labor Day holiday

City of Phoenix offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Light rail, buses and Dial-a-Ride will operate on a Sunday schedule on Monday. Express, RAPID and DASH buses will not operate. Parking in metered spots will be free.

There will be no garbage collection on Monday. Monday and Tuesday trash collection routes will each be pushed back a day. The Burton Barr Central Library and all branch libraries will be closed on Monday.

The offices of the Ahwatukee Foothills News will also be closed on Monday, Sept. 5.
