Police investigate string of car burglaries over weekend

Phoenix police are searching for any information that might lead them to four suspects who burglarized at least six cars, setting one on fire, over the weekend.

Police were called out to a car fire in the 4600 block of East Thistle Landing around 3 a.m. on Sunday, June 23. A witness reported seeing three suspects run from the scene, said Sgt. Steve Martos of the Phoenix Police Department.

Police said the suspects are described as three white males and possibly one black male between the ages of 17 to 20.

“It looks like they burglarized six different vehicles,” Martos said. “One of them, for whatever reason, they set on fire. The vehicle was completely burned.”

Phoenix Fire Arson detectives are investigating the fire while Phoenix police are investigating the burglaries.
