College Depot, located on the second floor of Burton Barr Central Library at 1221 N. Central Ave., will host 6 free workshops in January.

Understanding Financial Aid (offered three times this month):

5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3

3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14

5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31

Learn about grants, loans, work study and scholarships.

Searching for Scholarships and Hands-on Lab

2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4

Get tips on searching for scholarships and put what you've learned to the test in a hands-on computer session.

How to Pay for College (offered in Spanish)

5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11

Learn how to pay for college with financial aid and scholarships.

Writing a Winning Scholarship Essay

5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18

Presented by Jessica Sharkey, this workshop will help you make your personal statement come alive.
