A student organization at Arizona State University, Young Americans for Liberty (YAL), is hosting a debate at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, in ASU’s Ventana Ballroom, Memorial Union 241AB to discuss the major issues which are being ignored in the presidential debates. Three debate participants will present the conservative, libertarian, and liberal perspectives. The event is free and open to the public.

Writer and entrepreneur J.P. Freire will offer the conservative perspective; film producer Austin Petersen will give the libertarian perspective; and cohost of The Young Turks Ana Kasparian will present the liberal perspective.

This event is one of eight debates organized by Young Americans for Liberty chapters nationwide in October and November. Cosponsoring organizations include the College Democrats, College Republicans, Democratic Law Society, Green Party, Political Science and Law Club, Political Science Student Association, Project for a New American Society, Students for a Democratic Society, Students for Liberty, and Texas Freedom Network.
