Drivers who normally use State Route 143 (Hohokam Expressway) to access Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport or for travel between McDowell Road and Interstate 10 are urged to use alternate routes this weekend. Staggered closures are scheduled this weekend as crews prepare to open two new ramps linking SR 143 with Sky Harbor Boulevard. The new ramps are scheduled to open Monday (March 5) to improve connections on the airport’s east side.
