City services affected by Independence Day

City of Phoenix offices will be closed on Monday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Buses and Dial-a-Ride will operate on a Sunday schedule on Monday. The DASH in downtown Phoenix will not operate.

Light rail will also operate on a Sunday schedule until 5 p.m. when the rail will begin running every 10 minutes to support Independence Day celebrations along the rail line.

Parking in metered spots will be free.

There will be no garbage collection on Monday. Monday and Tuesday trash collection routes will each be pushed back a day. The 27th Avenue and North Gateway Garbage/Recycle Transfer Stations will be closed on Monday and will reopen on Tuesday.

Burton Barr Central Library and all branch libraries will be closed on Monday.

The offices of the Ahwatukee Foothills News will also be closed on Monday.
