City services affected by MLK holiday

City of Phoenix offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Light rail, buses and Dial-a-Ride will operate on a Sunday schedule on Monday. Express and RAPID will not operate.

Parking in metered spots will be free.

There will be no garbage collection on Monday. Monday and Tuesday trash collection routes will each be pushed back a day.

Transfer stations and all branch libraries will be closed on Monday.

However, the AFN will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday.
