A special meeting of the Pecos North Homeowners Association will be on Wednesday, July 17 for a vote on the recall petition of four of the five HOA board members.

The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. at Ironwood Library, 4333 E. Chandler Blvd. During the meeting, community members will vote whether or not to keep or replace directors Peg Strachan, Joann Pompa, Sharon Peek and June Peele.

Board member Rick Milot will remain on the board.

Regular HOA meetings for Pecos North are conducted every third Wednesday of the month at the library.

Community members have filed petitions to recall the four board members using an Arizona law they were first to use when it was passed in 2005.

Pecos North is a small gated community bordered by Chandler Boulevard on the north, Pecos Road on the south, 46th Street on the east, and 44th Street on the west. There are 168 homes in Pecos North. Each household will have one vote in the recall election.

The community’s management company, Metro Property Services, has resigned as the management company. The board will have a meeting on Monday, July 15 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to meet the three management companies from which the HOA board obtained bids. That meeting will be at the Pecos Community Center, 17010 S. 48th St.
