City services affected by Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday

City of Phoenix offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

Phoenix buses and Dial-a-Ride and light rail will operate on Sunday schedules. Express and RAPID will not operate.

Parking in metered spots will be free.

There will be no change in collection schedules for trash. Trash and recycling will be collected as usual for those with Monday collection. The 27th Avenue and North Gateway Garbage/Recycle Transfer Stations will be closed on Monday.

Ahwatukee Ironwood Library and all Phoenix branch libraries will be closed.

The Ahwatukee Foothills News will be open, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., that day.
