PHOENIX - ABC15 confirmed one of three victims has died after a Phoenix office complex shooting Wednesday.

ABC15 first heard reports of the shooting around 10:45 a.m. at the complex off 16th Street north of Glendale Avenue in the lobby of the law firm, DeConcini McDonald Yetwin & Lacy, P.C.

Local law firm Osborn Maledon identified one of the people shot as Mark Hummels. It's unclear what his condition is at this time.

He was representing a client in mediation at the time of the shooting, according to an Osborn Maledon statement.

Police said three people were shot, and one of them was transported in extremely critical condition.

Around 3 p.m., ABC15 learned from law enforcement sources that one of the victims has died, one is in critical condition, and another suffered non-life threatening.

It's unknown which one of these victims is Hummels.

Around 2:30 p.m., police were headed to a fourth location in search of the suspect.

Officers were called out to a Phoenix building near Central Avenue and Thomas Road around 1:15 p.m. after reports that a car at the location may be related to the shooting.

Phoenix police shut down the area during the investigation but have since moved on to a new undisclosed location.

The suspect's vehicle has only been described as a white sedan.

Around 1 p.m., Phoenix police were seen at the suspect's home near 28th Street and Acoma Drive.

Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos said a man, who was not identified as the suspect, was in the home but would not let police in.

Police were in the process of obtaining a search warrant.

Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said police believe the suspect went into the office building looking for someone specific and then got into an altercation.

The suspect, only identified as an older white male, then shot the victims and left the building, Thompson said.

Thompson said one of the victims was transported to a hospital in extremely critical condition. The other two victims shot suffered non-life threatening injuries.

He said police do not believe it was a random act.

Two other people police initially identified as "hurt" received treatment related to stress.

Multiple police vehicles and fire trucks were parked in front of the office complex immediately after the shooting.

Police officers and a police dog were seen sifting through the office building's parking lot.

Traffic is blocked on 16th Street from Glendale to Northern avenues.

There was also another scene earlier Wednesday morning at 16th Street and Glenrosa Avenue as police searched for the suspect.

Anyone who knows anything about this shooting or the suspect are urged to contact Phoenix police at 602-262-6151.
