It's Back! Ahwatukee Pet Idol returns for a 2nd go-round

Start wrangling those photos; submissions accepted beginning April 18

Calling all pet lovers! The annual Ahwatukee Pet Idol contest returns next month, giving you the chance to showcase your "best friends" online at ahwatukee.com and in the Ahwatukee Foothills News.

Look for information to come both online and in the Ahwatukee Foothills News print edition detailing contest info, rules, voting instructions, entry donations and more.

Submissions will open April 18 and be accepted through May 30th, with the big winner being announced in a special AFN publication to hit racks and driveways Aug. 15.

Last year's contest raised more than $9,000 for Arizona R.E.S.C.U.E. (www.AZRESCUE.org) and a portion of this year's proceeds will again go toward the non-profit, volunteer-run organization's efforts at helping orphaned pets find good parents like you!
