The Chandler Chamber of Commerce is working to help entrepreneurs use technology to start or grow their businesses. A new chamber program combines real life examples of business issues with technology solutions. It is designed to help participants understand using technology on topics that such as marketing and finance. The software is open-source, and businesses can continue to use it for free after taking a series of classes.
The program was developed by Hewlett Packard, and involves a series of classes offered through the Maricopa Community College Small Business Development Center. Classes are held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, from May 8 through June 26. Topics include developing plans for communication, marketing, social media, email marketing, blogging and web design. The program is free, but each session is limited to the first 20 people to sign up.
